Applications have now opened to become the supported charity at this year’s Moray Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards Dinner.
Billed as Moray’s biggest black tie event, the Moray Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards Dinner includes the opportunity for the Chamber’s supported charity to raise their profile as well as hard cash.
Last year’s charity, Moray Women’s Aid, received in excess of £3,300 from the raffle and auction, as well as making some meaningful relationships within the local business community through the exposure gained from the event.
“The generosity of local businesses is always showcased at this event in the Raffle and Auction, which is always fit to burst with products and experiences from the local area. This year with more people in attendance than ever, Moray Chamber hopes to raise a huge sum for a worthy cause with the fundraising auction” says Georgia Dunk, who is in charge of events and membership at the Chamber.
“Last year there were an unexpected number of applications to become Moray Chamber’s supported charity,” Georgia went on to say, “so organisations are encouraged to start applying as soon as possible.”
The chosen charity must operate within Moray and demonstrate how their work benefits the communities within the area. The application form gives the charity a chance to speak about how they would use the money to benefit Moray communities as well as speak about the fantastic work that they already do.
Applications to become the Chamber’s supported charity are open across Moray, including to non-chamber members. Application forms are available from gdunk@moraychamber.co.uk or from the Chamber’s website www.moraychamber.co.uk. Closing date for submitting applications is 25 June 2018.
The setting for this year’s dinner will be Gordon Castle, Fochabers, on 28 September, when the Chamber will welcome 320 local business people and celebrate 15 years of hosting Moray’s Business Awards.
Tickets are almost sold out, with only a few seats left, however there are still sponsorship opportunities for the event, and raffle & auction prizes are always gratefully received.
