Police Scotland appeal for information

Police Scotland has appealed to the public for information following a serious road traffic collision on the A952 Fraserburgh to Mintlaw road near Hardyards, Mintlaw last night, Saturday 12 May, at around 10.35pm.

The collision involved a white Mazda 3 car driven by a 22 year old male and a grey Landrover Discovery driven by a 62-year-old female.

As a result of the collision the 22 year old male was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is currently being treated for life threatening injuries.

The female driver of the Landrover Discovery was also taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

Sergeant Andrew Meikleham, from the Divisional Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
