An American in Brodie

American pianist Mac McClure will play at Brodie Castle next week.

Originally from Florida, McClure studied in Barcelona under the tutelage of Carlota Garriga at the Marshall Academy.

Director of the National Conservatory of Colombia for three years until July 2014, he is a board member of Bogota Philharmonic and associate professor and director at the National University of Colombia.

As well as recording more than 40 CDs, McClure founded the Klassic Cat music label along with Albert Moraleda and has toured the world, visiting the United States, Latin America, Australia, and Europe.

The concert, which has been organised along with Music Nairn, will be held in the Victorian drawing room at Brodie Castle on Thursday, June 21 from 7pm, when McClure will play a programme of Spanish and international pieces.
