We Make Moray is looking for people working or volunteering in health & wellbeing, tourism, business and third sector, as well as arts & culture, to take part in a peer learning visit to Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival in May 2019.
The visit is intended to enable learning about how different sectors of the economy can work in partnership to help ensure arts and culture continue to prosper in Moray.
This is in line with the approach set out in Moray’s Cultural Strategy and also supports the recently announced Economic Strategy for the area.
The visit will focus on learning how different sectors work with the arts in Dumfries & Galloway, to stimulate creative ideas that can be applied in Moray for public and economic benefit, and for effective partnership working.
In Dumfries & Galloway, ‘DG Unlimited’ and ‘The Stove’ work to demonstrate and support the vital role creative practitioners and organisations have in contributing to the wellbeing and economy of communities. With the local support of ‘DG Unlimited’, the visitors from Moray will meet key players in the area and have a chance to learn from their successes and from the challenges they have encountered.
Sandra Morrison, Place Partnership Co-ordinator said: “This is an amazing opportunity for representatives from Moray to explore how cross-sector partnerships might benefit their practice. It’s important to state that this isn’t about replicating the work of others, as each place has its own identity; this is about learning from others and exploring what could be developed in Moray.”
The cost of travel and expenses will be funded by We Make Moray, with the understanding that those taking part in the exchange will be willing and able to share their experience, learning and ideas with others back in Moray.
