Moray Chamber of Commerce is inviting local charities to apply to be the supported charity at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, described as Moray’s biggest black-tie event.
320 local business representatives will gather at Gordon Castle in Fochabers for Moray Chamber of Commerce’s 16th Annual Business Dinner on 4 October.
The evening will celebrate the good work done by businesses in the area and culminate with the presentation of the Moray Chamber Business Award to the company that has made the biggest contribution to the local economy over the past year.
“This is the second year that the event is at Gordon Castle,” says Chamber Membership Coordinator Callum McDonald, “and after the success of the 2018 Dinner, it promises to be a memorable evening.
“Moray Chamber of Commerce always uses the night to raise money for a local cause.
“Last year’s chosen charity CLAN Cancer Support received £5,500 from the auction.
“Businesses are always extremely generous in their prize donations and the same is expected for 2019.
“On top of the earnings from the auction, the host will educate the guests of the good work that the charity currently does and is looking to do with the donation.”
To be eligible, the chosen charity must operate within Moray and demonstrate how their work benefits the communities within the area.
The application form gives the charity a chance to note how they would use the money to benefit Moray communities as well as speak about the fantastic work that they already do.
Application forms can be found on the Moray Chamber of Commerce website on https://www.moraychamber.co.uk/chamber-news/applications-open-for-annual-dinner-supported-charity/ or by contacting Callum McDonald, cmcdonald@moraychamber.co.uk.
