Moray College to host ‘question time’ debate on Scottish Independence

Leading campaigners in Moray for and against Scottish independence are to go head to head in a public debate next week.

Labour member of Moray Council for Fochabers, Sean Morton, will face up to Springfield Properties director Sandy Adam, chairman of the Yes Moray campaign.

The pair will give their respective views in a question-time format at the recently opened Alexander Graham Bell Centre on the Moray College UHI campus.

After listening to the respected Yes Moray and Better Together statements the audience will have an opportunity to put their questions to the speakers.

It will be one of the first major events held at the £6.5million Life Sciences building named in memory of the inventor of the telephone, who once taught in Elgin.

Bookings for the event, which will take place on Wednesday, January 22 from 6pm to 7pm, are not required and light refreshments will be provided with doors opening at 5.30pm.
