Success of existing volunteers at a Moray job club have brought about a call for new volunteers to step forward and fill the gap.
The job club at Elgin Library has shown itself to be one of the most successful in the region, providing backing and support to job seekers on such as interview techniques and completing CV’s.
Now the club are seeking new volunteers urgently as volunteers who have helped job seekers in the past have now themselves obtained new occupations – leaving gaps that urgently need filling.
The club runs on Thursday’s from 10am to 4pm and is open to anyone looking to return to work or those who are employed already but are seeking alternative challenges.
At the Library job club, job seekers can access support from library staff and volunteers in their search for jobs online, applying for vacancies, preparing covering letters or creating and updating their CVs.
The club is seeking volunteers with good interpersonal skills who are confident in the use of computers and who have experience of job searching and interview skills. Anyone interested should contact Elgin library on 01343 562603 or e-mail elgin.library@moray.gov.uk
