The high rate of road accidents in Moray this summer continued on Wednesday when a woman had to be cut from her vehicle on the A941.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision on the road between Rothes and Fogwatt, leaving one on its side in a field.
The accident happened at around 5.20pm on Wednesday evening and was attended by Fire and Rescue, ambulance and police.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that the woman driver of one of the vehicles had to be cut free, adding that she was placed in the care of paramedics.
While some delays were experienced on the route attending police officers were directing traffic and keeping delays to a minimum.
Earlier in the day a second accident involving three vehicles happened on the A98 at the Clochan junction near Buckie.
There were fortunately no injuries report from that incident although the road was partially blocked for a short period at the Clochan junction.
