Leading comics set to lighten the Elgin mood

Scott Gibson set for Elgin

It will be laughter all the way at a leading Moray venue next week when one of Scotland’s top comedians takes to the stage.

A 2014 Scottish Variety Award nominee, Scott Gibson is widely regarded as one of the nation’s leading funny men, with his most recent performances having included RockNess and T in the Park.

Scott was also a major hit on stage in Toronto – now he is looking forward to appearing at Elgin’s Drouthy Cobbler.

Jojo Sutherland will compère the second outing for the ‘Do you like jokes?’ comedy club at the venue – with expectations of another full house after the highly successful show held in July.

Arriving in Elgin after performing a gruelling three shows a day during the Edinburgh Festival, JoJo has a dry, conversational style with effortlessly interwoven humour has cemented her position as doyenne of the Scottish comedy circuit.

Also appearing are less well known but very funny acts Gary Meikle, Scott Jeffrey, and Aberdeen based Claire Pirie.

‘Do you like jokes?’ is on at the Drouthy Cobbler on Wednesday, August 27 from 7.30pm with tickets priced at £10 and available in advance either at the venue or online at http://billetto.co.uk/do-you-like-jokes-comedy-club-aug
