Internationally acclaimed cast set to light up Moray festival

A Moray dance company is this week preparing to showcase the very best productions of video, dance and music in Scotland.

As part of the first ever Findhorn Bay Arts Festival locally based dance company Bodysurf Scotland are behind a major show at the Universal Hall in Findhorn.

The event will feature Highland video makers ‘GOAT’, who were recent winners of the San Francisco Dance and Film Festival Jury Prize. Also appearing in the production will be internationally acclaimed dance artist Caroline Reagh and the acclaimed Scottish fiddler Patsy Reid.

Joining them on stage will be Edinburgh’s Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre on a night that promises a plethora of stunning visuals, traditional music and gritty hip-hop dance theatre.

The event is part of a five day festival of arts and cultural events, many of which are free and all taking place in and around Forres and the beautiful Findhorn Bay.

Bodysurf Scotland Artistic Director Karl Jay-Lewin said: “The night is perfect for those who may not have experienced contemporary dance before as the programme will take the audience through a variety of dance and music styles as well as the light and shade of life.”

The event takes place at the Universal Hall, Findhorn, on Thursday 25 September 2014 as part of the first Findhorn Bay Arts Festival.

Tickets are £8.00 (£6.00 concessions and £4.00 under 18s) and available from the Eden Court box office on 01463 234234 or online at www.findhornbayartsfestival.com.
