Elgin should be a cleaner place after this weekend thanks to the efforts of volunteers who are set to comb the city for litter.
Volunteers will meet at the Moray Leisure Centre at 10am on Saturday for a two-hour litter clearing session between Ladies Walk to Elgin Academy.
In the afternoon they will again come together at the Cedarwood Centre, opposite Matalan, and from 2pm will clear litter from the Wards with particular attention being paid to the Scout path and Wetland areas.
A further session will be conducted on Sunday, the first from 10.30am at the Pino Pizza car park when volunteers will tackle the town centre, Alexandra Road and lanes off the High Street and Academy Street car park. That is expected to finish by 1pm.
All equipment is to be provided although volunteers are asked to wear old clothes, gloves and warm jackets.
