Sport: Charlesworth returns to the manager’s chair at Lossie

Charlesworth – back in charge at Lossie

Lossiemouth football club supporters are celebrating the return of their former manager with the announcement last night that a deal had been reached with Charlie Charlesworth.

Club chairman Royce Clark revealed that the club had appointed locally based Charlesworth in a brief social media message late last night.

Clark said: “I am delighted to announce that a deal has been agreed for the return of manager Charlie Charlesworth at Lossiemouth FC.”

The appointment will be widely welcomed by supporters aware that the club has not done well since Charlesworth moved to take the helm at Deveronvale in 2012.

Lossiemouth appointed Steven Dunn in January 2013 – but he quit earlier this month after his side suffered a humbling defeat at Fort William.

Dunn’s resignation came days after Charlesworth had himself quit at Deveronvale – and was quickly established as a firm favourite to return to Lossiemouth.
