Two suffer minor injures after car overturned on Moray road

Two people were taken to hospital after a car flipped over onto its roof while travelling on the B9016 Keith to Buckie road.

Three people were in a blue Peugeot 206 when it overturned close to the Oxhill junction at around 7pm on Thursday.

Two of the car’s occupants were taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin while a third escaped uninjured.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that injuries were ‘minor’ and that the accident happened after a spate of wet weather leaving damp driving conditions.

No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.

The road was closed for two hours while the overturned vehicle was recovered before being reopened at around 9pm.
