Answers on public transport ready for delivery to Moray public

Transport options are explained in new guide

A new guide designed to demonstrate all available public transport options for Moray residents has been launched.

After constantly being asked about more detailed information on transport services in the region the Moray Transport Forum has stepped up to the plate, producing a 40-page guide that is to be delivered to every home.

The guide is the result of two transport seminars held to discuss ongoing concerns over difficulties in accessing timetables, services, connections and detailed information for public services. The guide includes bus routes, taxi firms and community transport schemes as well as the Moray Council operated dial-a-bus services.

Chair of the Forum, Anita Milne, said: “This has been a tremendous team effort between all the forum members and Moray Council.

“It has taken a lot to gather all the information together and make sure it is accurate – and I’m delighted with the result. People asked for this information and the guide is now available that offers them that.”

The costs of producing the guide have been helped by contributions from area forums as well as advertising revenue from space sold in the guide itself.
