Santa was called in to deliver an early gift this week in the form of a £20,000 cheque to the organisation behind the Spey Bay wildlife visitor centre.
The cash was presented to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) whose work includes protection of the resident Moray Firth dolphin population.
Animal Friends Pet Insurance, one of the largest suppliers of pet insurance in the UK, made the donation as part of their nationwide Christmas charity giveaway.
The company was established with the sole aim of generating funds for animal welfare charities around the world. To date they have donated almost £2million.
Managing director and company founder, Elaine Fairfax presented the cheque which will be used to help WDC fight the many threats that whales and dolphins face each day around the world.
