Community news site readers provide a Christmas Lunch boost

Fabio Villani and tsiMoray staff thumbs-up for donation

A little bit of extra festive cheer is being provided this Christmas day thanks to tsiMoray and big-hearted insideMoray readers.

When we learned of plans being laid by tsiMoray volunteers to provide a special Christmas Lunch for anyone in the region who may be spending Christmas Day alone, we called on our readers to help out.

With production of the ‘Moray Life’ Calendar already bought and paid for by several Moray businesses and individuals, all proceeds from the sale of the publication are to be donated to local charity groups.

A minimum pledge of £100 was made by insideMoray towards the Christmas lunch – and that was then topped up to £300 thanks to online sales of the Calendar over a single weekend.

Chief Officer of tsiMoray, Fabio Villani, said: “This is a wonderful gesture by insideMoray and its readers.

“This will be the fourth year that we have set out to provide some festive cheer on Christmas Day for people of all ages who are living along in Moray. Now thanks to this generous donation it will be an extra-special occasion this Christmas.

“On behalf of everyone at tsiMoray I thank insideMoray’s readers, the photographers who donated their work free of charge for the Moray Life calendar and the businesses who made the project possible.

“We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”

There is no cost at all to participants who are advised to bring their singing voices with them, – however, booking is essential by December 22.

To book at place please contact Nina at tsiMORAY – Tel 01343 541713 or email info@tsimoray.org.uk
