A newly formed women’s rugby union is looking for new recruits from throughout Moray with the promise of friendship and fitness.
The Kinloss Falcons are an SRU accredited club that since formation for the 2013/14 season have competed in a variety of local competitions.
Now the fledgling club are actively seeking out new members of all ages and levels of fitness or ability for a team that is part of Kinloss RUFC, which is affiliated to 39 Engineer Regiment at Kinloss Barracks.
A club spokeswoman said: “The club operates from August to May and we have hot and cold food available every Sunday morning, while all equipment is provided so ladies only need trainers/boots.
“The Falcons were founded in the 2013/2014 season and although we’re a relatively new team, with top quality coaching from the Kinloss Eagles we strive to get better and stronger and ultimately compete against rival teams.”
The club regularly participate in SRU National Development sessions, with the spokeswoman adding: “On Sunday a few of us travelled to Howe Of Fife Rugby Club in Cupar along with players from Inverness Craig Dunain Ladies to participate one of the SRU National Development League days.
“The day consisted of skill based training in the morning covering all aspects of the game followed by matches in the afternoon. It was a great experience for all involved giving us a chance to learn new skills, get in some valuable game time and meet players from other ladies teams.”
