Moray college seeking recruits for ‘never dull’ Board

The management board at Moray College UHI are seeking new recruits to help them maintain a commitment to their “ethos and vision” in providing high quality learning to the region.

A call has been issued this week for volunteers to step forward who might have experience in a variety of disciplines including finance, public or private sector management, IT, human resources, marketing and communications.

Current chair of the board of management at, Dr Jana Hutt, said: ‘Moray College UHI offers so much to the people of Moray, our stakeholders, partners and most importantly our students equipping them with the skills and qualifications to succeed in life.

“The opening of the Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health offers significant opportunities for students to study in an environment which fosters collaboration with academia, research and commercial research and development.

“Being a board member is never dull with constant challenges influenced by the external environment in which we work. It is a real privilege to serve on the Board of Moray College UHI.”

While membership is non-remunerated expenses are covered for board members who are required to attend around five meetings each year as well as service on any Standing Committees.

All appointments are subject to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

A comprehensive induction and training programme is available on appointment. Anyone interested and wishing further information or a tour of the College is being asked to contact the clerk to the Board of Management, Fran Croydon, on 01343 576306.
