A MORAY COMMUNITY centre will have new roof insulation put in place thanks to the latest round of grants from Awards for All Scotland.
An application by the Deskford and District Community Association has resulted in a grant of £2793.
The grant is one of several awarded in the Banffshire & Buchan Coast constituency of Stewart Stevenson MSP.
Mr Stevenson said he was delighted on learning that the Deskford community had been successful alongside bids by Macduff Primary School (£10,000) and Dales Park School (£10,000).
The MSP said: “I am delighted that these excellent groups in my constituency have been chosen to benefit from Awards for All grants.
“Funding such as this makes the difference between having a good idea, and turning it into a reality.
“I wish all those involved the very best as they seek to make their local communities more enjoyable for everyone around them.”
Other grants announced this week in Moray saw £8624 going to Children and Youth in Community at Findhorn for use within the Findhorn Foundation Community, and £9798 awarded to Outfit Moray to assist in running essential skills cycling awareness, guided community cycle rides and two family overnight cycling trips.
Across Scotland, 191 community groups are today sharing in National Lottery funding worth £1,232,220 from the Awards for All programme.
Awards For All Scotland gives groups a chance to apply for a grant of between £500 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.
