THE DUNCAN FAMILY are all kitted out and ready for the long awaiting ‘Marafun’ through the streets of Elgin next week.
Sandy Duncan will lead the family from their Birnie home to take up the challenge – and for a family that are already involved in many aspects of work in their community the Marafun is a natural fit.
The Duncan’s will be one of around 100 teams entered by local community organisations in Moray – and they are expected to generate in excess of £40,000 for local causes.
Youngest of the family team is Rowan who turns 15 just in time for event which has already secured 94 of the maximum 125 teams – anyone who has been thinking it over has been given until Friday to secure one of the final places.
To complete the day there will be over 30 food and other stalls, 11 musical entertainers across three town centre locations, a pipe band, dance and sport club demonstrations, over 100 show shine cars and seven car dealer displays.
The public are expected to turn out in their thousands to support the event for which abilities are catered for. For more details see www.elginrotary.co.uk or enter your team on line at www.entrycentral.com.
