THERE WILL BE few teams better prepared than Team Footworks at the Race for Life event in Inverness on Sunday.
The trio from Elgin’s popular Chiropody practice – Janice Bedawi, Pippa Campbell and Colleen Guy – are set to take on the 5k challenge knowing that blisters are simply not an option as they seek to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK.
“We have been working hard for this one and quite a few friends have already dug deep to back us,” Pippa said, adding: “It is something that all three of us felt we had to do – hopefully we’ll all come through fit and ready for work next week!
“The important thing is that Race for Life has grown to become such an important event throughout the UK and one that is playing a massive role in raising essential funding for cancer research.
“There are very few people out there who have not been touched in some way by cancer – be it to family, friends or even themselves. Research into the causes of cancer have made enormous strides in recent years so anything we can do to help make that continue is reward enough for the small efforts we put into this event.”
The South Street based Footworks team have a Just Giving page for any customers, family or friends who wish to support their Race for Life effort.
