FILMING HAS STARTED on a project aimed at celebrating a Moray community and the important role its residents have played in its development over the years.
Local group Creative Visions Moray are behind the project that celebrates the lives and times of Lossiemouth past and present.
A film crew led by Yvonne Findlay has already been out and about in the town – and they are now looking for help from people in the coastal town.
Yvonne said: “We are looking for people who are willing to tell their stories of Lossiemouth past and present, and we’ve already found that it is the people who live in the town who have some stunning tales to tell.
“We have a great group of young people who are themselves learning about film making and production techniques.
“Regardless on if you have just recently arrived in Lossiemouth or you have lived there for many years, we are urging people to become involved in this project.
“There is something in the project for everyone – it is a project about community so if anyone has a story about the town they would like to tell, then we are asking that they submit them to the ‘story books’ that are held in places of worship, the library and at the Fisheries Museum.”
Yvonne will also be speaking about the project at St Gerardines Church on Tuesday, June 30 from 7pm, at which anyone who is interested is invited to attend.
