Motorcyclist lands in hospital after crash with shop van


POLICE AND PARAMEDICS were called to a remote road between Lhanbryde and Millbuies when a motorbike crashed with a van belonging to an Elgin motorcycle shop.

The motorcyclist was last night being treated at Dr Gray’s in Elgin after the accident with the van from the ‘two wheel superstore’ at Linkwood in Elgin – police say that his injuries are understood not to be life-threatening.

Officers were awaiting word on his condition as they continued their investigation at the scene with the road remaining closed until 7.20pm.

A police spokesman said: “Officers arrived on the scene at around 5.20pm and closed the road – the motorcyclist was then taken to hospital and the road remained closed until we were updated on the man’s condition.

“His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.”

The vans owner Tom Adamson said that the accident was dealt with properly by the services involved and the Yamaha motorcycle was removed by one of his vehicles.
