AN ACCIDENT EARLIER this week that led to a motorcyclist having to be taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment has prompted an appeal from Police Scotland.
The collision between a motorbike and a small white car happened on the road from Tomintoul to Lecht on Wednesday, August 12 at around 11.30am.
There is particular concern by police because the driver of the car failed to stop, leaving the female motorcyclist injured on the roadside.
At the time of the accident it is believed that the white car had been following a small bus or coach which had orange lettering on its side.
Police Scotland say than anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information on the identity of the motorists involved, should contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
