MORAY’S LIBRARIES WILL be hosting a number of events in the next few weeks that provide everything from stock sales to historical talks.
Lossiemouth library leads the way with a sale of withdrawn stock taking place during normal opening hours from Friday, September 18 until the following Wednesday.
Meanwhile in Aberlour an illustrated talk on the history of the former Aberlour Orphanage will take place in their local library on Wednesday, October 7 from 7pm until 8pm with free entry for all.
On October 8 it is National Poetry Day and that will see evening talks on winter blues, seasonal affective disorder and available therapies delivered by Dr Chloe Greenwood. These events, which also features informal discussion and poetry, will be held from 2pm until 7pm.
In Keith there is an illustrated talk on the Keith to Dufftown Railway by Ian McKenzie and Alastair Coull – that will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, October 14.
Meanwhile the Spirit of Moray Book Festival is now under way featuring a galaxy of leading authors, poets and illustrators (several events have already been booked up but some tickets remain).
