TWO MOTORISTS ESCAPED with just minor injuries when their cars collided on the busy A941 route between Elgin and Craigellachie on Monday.
All three emergency services were called to the junction with the B9102 after a Fiat 500 and Volvo Estate collided leaving both off the side of the road.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said that two ambulances were sent to the scene shortly before 4.30pm and treated both drivers for minor injuries. They were subsequently taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin “as a precautionary measure”.
Police said that disruption on the road was minor as both vehicles had ended up on the grass verge either side of the carriageway.
Fire and Rescue service crews from Aberlour and Rothes had been called to the scene but their presence was not required – traffic was flowing freely again within half an hour.
