Elgin Town Hall to host major information fair on elderly care

Event in Elgin Town Hall

AN ANNUAL INFORMATION fair being held next week will give a view on how Moray is supporting people living with dementia.

Organised by the Moray Community Health and Social Care Partnership in conjunction with the Moray Older People’s Reference Group, the fair takes place in Elgin Town Hall on October 29 from 10am until 4pm.

Information on how older people can best prepare for the colder winter months ahead will be available at the event, which brings under one roof representatives from NHS Grampian, Moray Council and voluntary, housing and other partner organisations who support people living with dementia as well as their families and carers.

The Town Hall event will feature over 30 information stands at which visitors can obtain advice from Warmer Moray Group agencies on household energy issues. There will also be an opportunity to undergo a half hour health check – these can be booked in advance by calling the NHS Grampian Healthpoint on 01343 567842.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day and more information is available by calling 01343 567142.
