A MAN WHO threw a tumble dryer and vacuum cleaner out of a third-floor window will spend the next four months in jail.
David Sharp, whose address was given as the Royal Hotel in Forres, landed in Elgin Sheriff Court this week where he admitted several offences committed at various Moray locations over the summer.
Sharp, 32, was found passed out on a stairwell outside a home holding a 2.5g bag of cocaine at 4am on June 20. The Court heard that the following day police were called to his mother’s home in Elgin, where the accused had thrown a tumble dryer, vacuum cleaner and other furniture from her window.
A month later on July 22 CCTV cameras caught Sharp along with twins Claire and Sonia Stewart breaking into a neighbour’s room at the Royal Hotel in Forres with a crowbar, a circular saw and a nail gun.
Sharp was jailed for four months while Sonia Stewart, who admitted the offence at the Royal Hotel, was ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work. Her twin sister Claire Stewart had her sentence deferred for six months for good behaviour.
