AN ELGIN TEENAGER has captured the heart of Harry Styles – and just to prove it she met up with the One Direction star in London.
16-year-old Abbie Robinson is currently living with Clear Cell Sarcoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that primarily affects young adults. Sarcomas are cancers that arise within connective tissues – clear cell tumours tend to grow attached to tendons in the limbs.
During her fight against the cancer Abbie had one wish – to meet One Direction, and thanks to the children’s charity ‘Rays of Sunshine’ that is exactly what happened.
Abbie was taken to the O2 Arena last week where 1D performed at a special Rays of Sunshine concert – where she took in the show and a great deal more.
She was taken backstage at the exclusive event to meet the superstar – and not only did Harry give her his very best wishes, but presented Abbie with a ‘Diamond Heart Pendant’ supplied by thediamondstore.co.uk – and fastened it around her neck.
A thrilled Abbie said: “I still can’t believe what has happened – it is the most surreal experience ever and by far one of the best days of my life!”
The pendant presented to Abbie is raising funds for the Rays of Sunshine charity with £15 from every sale donated to the cause.
