ONE OF MORAY’S longest running and most popular local galas are to hold their Christmas Fair this weekend.
Hopeman Memorial Hall is the venue on Saturday from 11am until 4pm for an event that will raise much needed funding to help underpin the 2016 Gala in the coastal town.
Summer 2016 will see the 42nd running of the Gala – unique in the north east for the fact that it runs not just over a weekend but for a full eight days.
Saturday’s Fair will see a wide selection of stalls on a Christmas theme including paintings by local artists, some of local scenes, traditional crafts, home bakes and tablet, cosmetics stalls and Christmas cards.
Also available will be wrapping, candles, jewellery, handbags, hand-made baby gifts, floral gifts and ideas to order, ice cream cakes and free samples, in addition to a bottle stall and a festive raffle.
Santa has been booked in his busy schedule to attend between 2pm and 4pm with a gift for those children who take the time to visit him. Refreshments of mince pies, mulled wine, teas and coffees will be served. Entry is free.
