Restrictions to be put in place around Elgin Cathedral

King Street - waiting restrictions
King Street – waiting restrictions

REPLACEMENT LIGHTING AROUND Elgin Cathedral will see ‘no waiting’ restrictions being placed from the end of this month until just before Christmas.

The restrictions will affect King Street from its junction with North College Street to Brewery Bridge and involves underground cabling being laid.

Moray Council say that the works also offer an opportunity to replace a section of the footpath between the Biblical Garden and Brewery Bridge.

Work in the area will begin on Monday, November 30 with the expected completion date being given as Wednesday, December 23.

Between these dates there will be ‘no waiting’ restrictions extended along the entire length of King Street to the west and north of the cathedral.
