Loose horses involved in A96 accident near Elgin

Accident near Oakwood Cookery School outside Elgin

AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING two horses and a car halted traffic on the A96 close to the Oakwood Cookery School this morning.

One of the horses was reported by a passing motorist to have been on the ground and covered, while reports indicate that two more horses were involved in the accident but escaped injury.

Currently there is no information on the driver of the vehicle involved. Traffic was restricted to single lane at around 9am for a short period – reports indicate that all four animals involved were running loose at the time of the accident.

The horses were being attended to in woodland at the side of the road.
