POLICE HAVE NOW confirmed that there was “nothing untoward” when a man was reported to have approached a young boy close to his school in Mosstodloch last week.
An appeal was issued for information after the boy returned to his school and reported a conversation with a man driving a light silver car in the Glebe Road area of the Moray village.
Officers urged the man involved or anyone who may have had information about the incident to come forward so that they could rule out any malicious intent. On Monday, police said that their investigations into the incident were now closed and that nothing suspicious had happened.
A police spokeswoman said: “We take all reports seriously and carry out inquiries – in this instance, our inquiries have convinced us that nothing improper happened.
“We can confirm that there were no suspicious circumstances and we would like to thank the members of the public who assisted with the investigation.”
