A MORAY WOMAN expressed her relief after a three day search for her missing husband ended with his being found safe and well in England.
Police issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Michael Burbage on Saturday after he failed to return to his Findochty home.
Mr Burbage had last been seen on Mid Street in Keith after work on Friday – but he failed to return, causing his frantic wife to contact police and issue an appeal for him to get in touch.
Soon after Anne Burbage issued her appeal, however, Mr Burbage contacted police to tell them that he was fine – with local officers travelling to an undisclosed destination in England to meet him on Tuesday.
Mrs Burbage had earlier yesterday released a statement through police pleading for anyone who had information on her husband’s whereabouts to contact police “as a matter of urgency”, saying that the longer she went without hearing from him the more concerned she was about his welfare.
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said that their investigations had led them to believe that Mr Burbage, 56, may have travelled to Wales.
Mrs Burbage said she was relieved to hear that he husband had been traced safe and well.
