PROMOTING THEIR GOODS and services became a little bit simpler for local businesses in Moray almost exactly one year ago with the appearance of a professional PR service.

Having successfully navigated through the difficult first year for any business, Chit Chat PR have now been celebrating their first anniversary by teaming up with children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

The Forres-based firm has been behind an entirely new approach in media relations for businesses in the region, using emerging media sources as well as the more traditional kind to make the public aware of what is new and good in the local business community.

Sharing information is at the heart of all public relations work – now CLIC Sargent Scotland looks set to benefit from a formal link with the PR company that both hope will prove fruitful for the charity.

Chit Chat PR director Clair Doughty said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with CLIC Sargent.

“Peter Logie, the fundraising manager for the area, approached us at the tail end of last year to see if we wanted to get involved and we jumped at the offer. It’s a fantastic charity to be involved with.

“Peter is an old hand at getting media coverage, I’ve known him since my journalism days, but what we intend to do at Chit Chat is help with the targeted social media advertising. We have already helped with one fundraising event, and the charity saw entries increase as a result.”

Peter Logie, CLIC Sargent fundraising manager for Moray and Highland said: “I am delighted and excited to have the support of this innovative, creative and friendly publicity and marketing company to help CLIC Sargent increase its general profile and that of its various events in Moray and the Highlands.

“Claire and Marc have had a great first year and we are lucky to have such a talented duo on our side.”

Chit Chat PR & Digital was launched last February 2015 and last week held a celebratory ‘birthday party’ at The Stables in Brodie Castle.

Marc Hindley who runs the company with Claire and specialises in the digital side of the company said: “The business has hit the ground running and what better way to mark our first year in business than a collaboration with such a worthwhile cause.

“We are over the moon to be working with Peter at CLIC and we hope we can help make all the events the charity runs even bigger and better than they already are.
“We now have several clients ranging from those in hospitality, sport, cosmetics, renewables and retail sectors to name but a few.”
