LIBRARIES IN MORAY are offering new skills workshops aimed at helping people identify their works skills or improve their ability to successfully negotiate job interviews.
Elgin and Lossiemouth libraries will be holding Job Search and Interview Skills workshops this month with the first in Elgin Library on February 11 from 2pm until 4pm.
The following day the same session will be held at the Lossiemouth library again from 2pm until 4pm – in both cases places are free but need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
A spokeswoman for Moray’s Library and Information Services said: “These sessions are designed specifically for people who need help in matching their existing skills to relevant jobs.
“They can also assist those who struggle when preparing for a job interview and quite often lack the confidence to ‘sell’ themselves to a prospective employer.
“Among the topics that will be covered in the two-hour sessions are effective marketing of yourself and your skills, interview preparation, answering difficult interview questions and asking relevant questions at interviews.”
For more information or to book places on the workshops contact the Elgin Library on 01343 562603 or the Lossiemouth Library on 01343 813334.
