A TWO VEHICLE collision on the A96 close to Forres railway station caused a motorist to have to be cut free from his vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.50pm after the two vehicles collided β while eastbound traffic was diverted through the town fire crews fought to release one of the motorists involved.
A grey Honda CRV was involved in the collision with a silver Ford Ranger β it is not believed the motorist who was freed from the Honda had suffered serious injuries.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all quickly on the scene with a police spokeswoman saying: βThe driver of the Honda was complaining of having a sore neck but it appears not to be serious. Nobody else suffered any injuries.β
Disruption on the route ended at around 5.30pm when the eastbound carriageway was reopened.
