THE BRIGHTEST AND BEST Business talent in Moray will be recognised at the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner later this year.
Held in September at the Alexander Graham Bell Centre, the event is one of the most anticipated in the Moray business calendar, with tickets already having been snapped up by advance bookings.
Now the Chamber has revealed that tickets are on sale for members only and are urging early response to avoid disappointment. Nominations for awards are also now being sought – and businesses nominated need not be members of the Moray Chamber of Commerce.
A spokesman said: “The awards provide an opportunity for businesses across the region to promote their achievements and for the business community as a whole to celebrate their success.
“Any business within Moray can enter the Business Awards, no matter how large or small – and you do not need to be a member of the Chamber.
“Award applications are currently open and will close on Friday, July 26, contact us if you would like an application form, or you can download one from our website – where you can also find a list of our previous winners.”
Sponsored by The Moray Council and Business Gateway, The Moray Chamber of Commerce Business Award is awarded to a business that has made an exceptional contribution to the Moray economy over the past year.
The Moray Export Award, sponsored by Walkers Shortbread, is open to businesses with a strong track record of export success.
Last year’s winners were Gordonstoun School & Forsyths Ltd, respectively.
In November, as part of Moray Business Week, Moray Chamber will also host its second Annual Awards Lunch which will take place on Wednesday, November 16.
At this event the following awards will be presented – Most Promising Enterprise, sponsored by Business Gateway, SME of the Year, Moray Speyside Tourism Award & Moray Speyside Community Tourism Award.
Criteria, applications and tickets for the above will be available late summer. There is still time to sponsor an award at the Awards Lunch so if you are interested, please get in touch.
