Great Moray Sewing Bee – third year.

FOR A THIRD YEAR a Moray group are organising what has become one of the most popular events in the craft world.

The Great Moray Sewing Bee gives those who are nifty with the needle an opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

A spokeswoman for the annual event said: “The competition is open to amateur crafters not just here in Moray but throughout Scotland.

“The Great Moray Sewing Bee is free to enter – and as those who have done so in the first two years know, it is a great deal of fun. Everything needed is provided with Johnstons of Elgin providing cashmere fabrics to sew with.

“Bee Crafty will provide the trimmings to embellish and NinaHQ the challenges and fun environment.”

The culmination of the Sewing Bee is a grand finale catwalk show – which itself raises funding for the Help the Heroes charity.

Deadline for entries in Sunday and organisers are appealing for more craft people to get their entries in – find out more via the event Facebook Page.
