Local road closure warning as resurfacing work gets under way

Fears Elgin will suffer a repeat of the roads chaos seen in Nairn last year.
Local road closures as resurfacing work gets under way.

MOTORISTS ARE BEING WARNED of road closures in Moray this month because of essential resurfacing work.

For two days from August 22 the C7E route at its Wellhill Road junction will be closed. Access for residents will be maintained – but through traffic will be advised to use a diversion route that must be followed.

This closure will also affect visitors to the Culbin Forest with access restricted at times so delays should be anticipated.

From the same date the C14E Mannachie to Rafford road will be closed for around 10 days – again, through traffic will be asked to use a signed diversion.

Moray Council’s roads maintenance section apologises for any inconvenience that these essential repairs may cause and any further information that is required can be obtained by calling 03000 1234565.
