ELGIN CITY FOOTBALL Clubrooms are under starters orders this weekend for a race night that hopes to raise a bundle for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Elgin branch of the much respected national charity have organised the event – and would now be more than pleased if a few people could see their way Borough Briggs, have a great night and know they are doing something very, very good.

Organiser Trish Anderson said: “This will be the 35th year the Elgin branch of Macmillan Cancer Support has been in existence.

“As well as the Race Night we are having a Masked Ball at the Mill Tynet on Friday, October 28 to celebrate – and hopefully as many ex-committee members, existing members and anyone else will be very welcome to come along and celebrate the occasion.

“In the time the committee has been together it has raised around £1.4million which is an amazing sum of money – and of course none of this could have been reached without all the local support given.”

The Race Night will get under way on Saturday with doors opening at 7pm – entry is just £7.50 and will include a hot supper, Trish should be contacted for tickets and information on 07824 700830.
