PROMOTING HEALTH AND WELLBEING for Moray’s over-60’s population is the aim of the growing network of Be Active Live Long (B.A.L.L.) groups in the region.

Now the network is to hold a special introductory event in Portgordon aimed at demonstrating the friendship and activity choices that has made them so successful.

The village hall in Portgordon will host the B.A.L.L. ‘Taster Day’ from 9.30am until 2pm on Thursday, October 6 – and they will even throw in a free lunch for those attending.

A spokeswoman told insideMoray: “The B.A.L.L groups’ goal is to promote health and wellbeing for over 60s and there are quite a few of them in Moray as can be seen online.

“Although the taster day will take place in Portgordon, all people from the wider area are invited to come and ‘taste’ for themselves what these groups are all about and just why they are becoming increasingly popular.

“This is an ideal opportunity for over-60’s from throughout Moray to learn about the benefits the groups bring in our communities.”

Places can be booked or further information obtained by calling 01343 567093 or by email to CWDevelopmentTeam@moray.gov.uk.
