PARENTS ARE BEING invited to help develop a strategy aimed at improving the provision of additional needs support in Moray’s schools.

Throughout November and December a series of sessions will take place at locations throughout the region with parents, carers and other stakeholders invited to attend.

The move follows concerns expressed by parents earlier this year over changes made to ASN support without full consultation or agreement from parents and carers.

Now Moray Council has said that discussions group sessions will be held as follows:

  • Wednesday, November 16 at Buckie High School (2pm to 3.30pm) and Keith Community Centre (6pm to 7.30pm).
  • Wednesday, November 23 at Milne’s High School (2pm to 3.30pm and Speyside High School (6pm to 7.30pm).
  • Tuesday, November 29 at Lossiemouth Town Hall (2pm to 3.30pm) and Forres Academy (6pm to 7.30pm).
  • Thursday, December 8 at Elgin Library (2pm to 3.30pm and 6pm to 7.30pm)

Places at these discussion sessions should be reserved in advance by e-mailing ASNStrategy@moray.gov.uk by Wednesday November 2, giving your name, e-mail address, phone number and the session you wish to attend.
