AN APPEAL FOR WITNESSES has been issued by police in Buckie following a theft by housebreaking incident in the Cameron Crescent area of the town.
At some time between 10am on Saturday, October 1 and 12.15am the following day a home was broken into and a number of household items removed – including a significant quantity of jewellery.
Investigating Officer Constable Joe Jacques said: “This is a deplorable act and the householders have been left shaken by this ordeal.
“Amongst the property stolen from the address are engagement rings and family heirlooms passed down through generations. These items are considered irreplaceable due to the sentimental value they hold.
“Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
