THE MORAY GROUP that helps to find new homes for hundreds of pet cats each year has launched an appeal for help in keeping the service going.
Moray Cats Protection (MCP) has been working tirelessly for years throughout the region to find new homes for lost or abandoned cats as well as those whose owners can no longer look after them for a variety of reasons.
The group also provide education and advice to the public on best practice in looking after their pets, and help to coordinate appeals for lost pets throughout Moray.
As their own numbers dwindle, however, MCP is looking to recruit new volunteers who can take on a variety of roles with the organisation.
A spokeswoman told insideMoray: “We need enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for cats to join our existing team of dedicated workers. Currently we are looking for people to fill the roles of co-ordinator, fosterers, home visitors and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) volunteers.
“Anyone who feels that they can help is being invited to contact MCP on 080800 191919 or by email to bsusne@cats.org.uk.”
