A FAMILY RUN business in Lhanbryde has been rewarded for providing the best delivery of customer service by its trade body in the electrical industry.
SELECT, the campaigning trade body for the electrotechnical industry in Scotland, has named Alistair Grant Electrical for the award – a small family-run operation that carries out a wide variety of work throughout Moray, Aberdeenshire and beyond.
For two generations the firm has been providing a friendly, prompt and expert service – taking a particular satisfaction in serving the interests of the local community.
Newell McGuiness, SELECT Managing Director, said: “The electrical sector in Scotland is now a high-tech industry, peopled by skilled professionals who are working at the cutting edge of a constantly-evolving technology.
“But people skills are also a crucial part of the business and establishing relationships with customers is one of the most tried and tested ways of ensuring the vital element of repeat business.”
The award was presented by Alice Moloney, of award sponsor Blue Sky Pensions, at a gathering at the Radisson Blu in the centre of Glasgow hosted by Keith Aitken, one of Scotland’s most respected and versatile journalists.
It was attended by a wide range of companies, from major electrical enterprises to local firms, illustrating the diversity and strength of Scotland’s electrical sector.
Alistair Grant Electrical was established in 1982 by Alistair, who has 40 years of experience in the electrical sector. The firm has gained a first class reputation throughout the local area.
Alan Wilson, head of membership and communications at SELECT, said: “Work at Alistair Grant Electrical is always carried out by fully qualified engineers whose dedication to each contract is second to none.
