AN APPEAL HAS been issued for witnesses or information following the theft of a car from the driveway of a family home in Lossiemouth.

The theft took place overnight on Saturday/Sunday in the St Gerardine’s Road area of the coastal town.

Thieves broke in through the back door of the home while the family slept, stealing the keys to their Silver BMW and removing it from the driveway.

A family friend told insideMoray: “The kids were in the house at the time and the family feel violated by this despicable crime. Someone must know who is responsible for this and perhaps will have seen the car – hopefully someone will be able to provide the police with information.”

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area last night or who knows the whereabouts of the BMW (picture) is asked to contact police on 101.
