A MORAY COMMUNITY is set to gather this month in appreciation of talented local artists for what is fast becoming a much-anticipated annual event.
The Burghead Art Group has a membership of talented local people who work in water colours, oils, crafts and photography, producing a stunning annual exhibition.
Their 2016 show will receive an official opening on the evening of Friday, November 25 – with the general public invited to view the works at any time from November 26 until December 3.
The exhibition, which will once again be held in the Old Bakery Studio on Young Street, has proven to be a massive international hit in the past, with several of the works on show having been snapped up by overseas visitors to the area determined to have a lasting memory of their visit to the Moray Coast.
Organiser and local artist Joan Megson said: “We are very much looking forward to displaying the efforts of our members once again. Last year our work received considerable acclaim with many of the exhibits ending up in homes throughout Europe.
“We live in a wonderful part of the country and that inspires artists of all abilities and styles to produce work of a very high quality – we really do hope that as many people can find the time to come along and see for themselves.”
