PEOPLE WHO MAY be planning to use their own gardens for growing fruit and veg will be interested in one of the two events planned for the Moray Resource Centre this month.

The Elgin venue will feature an illustrated talk from members of the Rural Environmental Action Project (REAP) on the ‘Grow Elgin’ project, which is encouraging people to grow their own fruit and vegetables and to compost their waste.

That takes place from 11am until 1pm on Monday, November 14 – while two weeks later the Resource Centre is hosting a second event aimed at those who have or may be thing of giving some of their spare time to voluntary pursuits.

Monday November 28 from 11am to 1pm will see the Council’s volunteering co-ordinator, Margaret Cowie, being joined by Susan Davies of tsiMoray.

They will discuss the wide range of volunteering opportunities available throughout Moray.
