
THREE MEN HAVE appeared in court at Aberdeen following a series of acquisitive crimes carried out throughout the north east in recent weeks.
The men – one aged 18 and two aged 20 – appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday to answer a total of 24 charges relating to offences that took place in October and November in towns throughout the north east – including Lossiemouth and Elgin.
The thefts involved numerous cars, thefts from cars including number plates and several housebreakings.
Detective Inspector Stuart McAdam said: “I would like to thank members of the public who provided us with information and assistance.
“Officers in the North East are committed to tackling acquisitive crime under Operation Magpie. I would also continue to urge people to assist us by ensuring your properties, vehicles and valuables are locked and secure at all times in the first place.
